CLOSE PROTECTION / SANCTUS
The environment influences how protection is planned. Locations, journeys, access arrangements and changing circumstances all form part of the assessment.
A private residence, a workplace, a public venue and a travel itinerary each present different practical considerations. Preparation examines the relevant setting in relation to the individual and the purpose of the assignment.
Where required, protective advance and coordination help clarify arrangements before a visit or movement. Planning is proportionate to the assessed risk and is reviewed when relevant conditions change.
01
Location assessment considers the practical circumstances of a planned visit, including relevant access and coordination requirements.
02
Itinerary review and movement planning connect the different parts of an assignment. Where required, this may include coordinated ground movement and travel-related protection.
03
Contingency planning considers how arrangements may need to adapt if plans or conditions change. The approach remains tied to the individual and the assignment.
